'So' is about whimsy and falling.

Process

'So' originally performed for Ten Tiny Dances (TTD) in Beaverton, Oregon, the premise of which is to create a work on a 4'x4' elevated wooden stage, challenging ourselves as artists with the physical parameters of 16 square fee. This was the third time I've created work for TTD, a festival I love. I wanted to push myself, and the dancers I was working with. Fascinated with the idea of pushing far off the edge of the stage, I crafted a new version of the 4'x4' platform, resulting in all four sides set to a 30 degree angle. The movement is all about moving into and out of each of the dancers and the stage, partnering and tumbling in unique ways.
