Beginning with an athletic yet gentle section inspired by the halo of light from a full moon, ‘Illum’ interweaves elements of breakdance, floor work, and contemporary partnering. Unfolding as a physical and abstract journey, the ‘Illum’ invokes a sense of being watched by a deified observer, reflecting the symbolism of nature’s cycles and the emergence of self, while expressing the raw textures of the earth and the human body.
